|---|
Hsing Chen is the name for Master John Bracy’s system of researching healing, internal energy, natural power and self-mastery based on more than three decades of his research into the lost and hidden aspects of bio energetic, healing and martial arts. Through tireless devotion, John has been able to uncover many of the lost or rarely transmitted teachings of the arts. These include principles of advanced mechanics, how to become or increase sensitivity to subtle bio energy (chi) , how to understand and create objective demonstrations of subtle bio energy for healing and improving one’s martial skill, postural and structural breakthroughs that take years off of one’s training, the value of esoteric Taoist breathing techniques for healing self and helping others learn to heal themselves and last, but not least, the importance of understanding the impact of consciousness and how the way one thinks (positively or negatively) has a profound effect on one’s immune system and power (social, martial and energetic). Our principle aim is to disseminate what we have learned in these areas to others. To accomplish these goals, Hsing Chen incorporates principles from Taoist yoga and traditional Chinese healing arts with the internal Chinese martial, healing and meditation skills. This approach creates a realistic vehicle with which the sincere and dedicated student is able to explore one’s inner landscape and awaken power and potential. Hsing Chen offers training in the following areas:· Internal Martial Arts · Taoist Yoga · Breath Practice · · Internal Energy Training · Meditation · Tai Chi Chuan · · Traditional Chinese Medicine & Energy Healing · The purpose and goal of Hsing Chen: The goal of Hsing Chen is to share with others what we have learned about posture, internal energy, healing, Taoist meditation, and authentic internal art instruction. Hsing Chen instructors choose to inspire others to live in harmony with their energy, walk and move naturally against the earth and assist others in the discovery of their own truth and wisdom. Be true to your path, do not be petty, aspire toward greatness. The inspiration for our work, and the body of knowledge we base these methods on are derived from Taoist sages. Sadly, in many cases this knowledge is in danger of being lost. Thus, our main goal is to share with others the discoveries made by Shrfu Bracy and Hsing Chen Instructors in the areas of health and internal martial art principles. Hsing Chen essentialsAlthough the above list of offerings is quite extensive, there are common threads and foundations between all of them. For example, each of the areas just listed from the internal martial arts to energetic healing are enhanced by Shrfu Bracy’s discoveries on posture. In this vein, the unique way we teach posture training opens and coordinates muscular power and movement and has an extremely valuable healing component. Thus, one will find posture training to be an important part of many classes from Tai Chi to meditation training to classes where one learns to heal others with traditional Chinese medicine. [posture can improve athletic performance in sports such as golf and basketball. The emphasis we place on posture is one example. Through his research, Master Bracy has discovered that one of the reasons that many of the abilities of the masters has been lost is due to poor posture habits used by those in modern societies. The way we teach the foundations of posture is based on the principle of "suspension" instead of rest points. Correct suspension of the body opens the body’s energy channels and teaches the student to find natural connection and flow. Our unique way of training posture is one of several important criteria that the student incorporates to find natural connection and integrated power. The Chi Arts Association is comprised of instructors and students world-wide who study and apply the Hsing Chen method to their internal martial art, meditation and healing art practices.
